Punjab has opted to collect a premium contribution from all government employees to secure the long-term financial stability of the Sehat Sahulat/Universal Health Insurance Program. Following the official endorsement from the cabinet, the Secretary of Specialized Healthcare and Education has directed the Secretary of Finance to formulate a system for deducting the premium from the salaries of government employees who hold permanent residency in the province . Considering the recent notification, which was issued on October 2, 2024. A directive was given to the planning officer to inform the Punjab government’s secretary of finance about this. All Punjabi government workers’ premium contributions have been approved by the Pakistani government. The most recent updates are now available, and there was previously news on health insurance for BPS-01 to BPS-22 Employees. In light of the Provincial Cabinet’s decision, kindly create a mechanism for the at-source deduction of the family-based premium,  from all Government of the Punjab employees who are registered as permanent residents of Punjab.

Monthly Rate for Deduction :362.5 rupees per family

Annual Rate for Deduction: 4250 rupees per family

Who Can Receive the Family Premium Deduction?

Everyone working for the Punjab government is subject to this procedure as long as they are a permanent resident of the Punjab Province.
