Eligibility Criteria PMA Admission
To be eligible for joining the Pakistan Merchant Navy and applying for the Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA), candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Unmarried male citizens of Pakistan.
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 20 years as of 31st December 2024. For candidates from AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan, and FATA, the age limit is not more than 21 years.
- Minimum Height: 5 feet 4 inches.
Required Qualifications to Join Pak Marine Academy:
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed FSc (Pre-Engineering) or possess O/A Levels with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing a minimum of 55% marks.
- Equivalence Certificate: Candidates with O/A Levels qualifications must submit equivalence certificates.
- Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in FSc Part-II with at least 60% marks in Part-I can also apply. However, they must provide a hope certificate issued by the head of their respective college.
- Failure in Obtaining Required Marks: Candidates who fail to obtain 55% marks in FSc, even after providing a hope certificate, will be disqualified at any stage of the selection process or discharged during training.

Selection Process of PMA
The academy will conduct entrance tests in various cities, including Abbottabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, and Sakkhar. Candidates scoring 50% marks in the entrance test will be eligible for further procedures. Scholarships Of PMA
The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Global Radiance Group of Companies offer educational-based training scholarships to cadets on a need basis. There are 37 fully paid scholarships and 4 need-based scholarships provided by the Global Radiance Group of Companies. The Ministry of Marine Affairs sponsors 33 full scholarships on a need basis, distributed among different provinces.

Merit Calculation
The final selection of candidates will be based on a merit system that includes F.Sc marks, entry test marks, medical physical efficiency test, and final interview. A physical efficiency test and interview will be conducted by the academy after the medical examination.
