The registration process will commence on Monday, July 3, 2024, and the last date to apply for NUMS MDCAT 2024 is set as July 24, 2024. As for the test itself, NUMS MDCAT 2024 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 3, 2024.

NUMS MDCAT 2024 Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the MDCAT (NUMS) – 2024 exam, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Valid Citizenship: The candidates must have valid citizenship of Pakistan, Overseas Pakistanis, Dual Nationals, or Foreign Nationals.
  2. Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed their FSc/HSSC/A-Levels/12th Grade or are awaiting their results are eligible to apply for the MDCAT (NUMS) – 2024 exam.
  3. Validity of Exam: Only the MDCAT (NUMS) – 2024 exam, scheduled for Sunday, 3rd September 2024, will be considered valid for admission in the MBBS/BDS session 2024-24.

How to Apply NUMS MDCAT Test Online Registration 2024

To apply for the MDCAT (NUMS) – 2024 exam, please follow these steps:

  1. Online Registration: Fill out the registration form online. Please note that the registration process must be completed on a laptop or desktop computer, as mobile phone registration is not supported.
  2. Registration Options: Select the appropriate option based on your status:
    • Local Students: Select the CNIC/B Form option.
    • Overseas Pakistani: Select the NICOP option.
    • Foreigners or Dual Nationals: Select the Passport option.
  3. Personal Information: Provide your CNIC/B Form/NICOP/Passport number, full name as per your SSC/O Level/10th Grade certificate, and active/functional email address. Create a password (minimum 6 characters) and confirm it. Complete the captcha and click on the Register button.
  4. Login: After registration, log in to the MDCAT (NUMS) – 2024 Registration Portal.
  5. Application Steps: The online registration application is divided into four steps:
    • Step 1: Upload Photograph & CNIC/B Form/NICOP/Passport.
    • Step 2: Profile Information & Test Centre.
    • Step 3: Download & Upload Fee Challan.
    • Step 4: Final Submit Application.
  6. Preview and Certification: Before final submission, carefully review your profile information and certify its accuracy. Download the fee challan, which can be paid at any branch of Habib Bank Ltd (HBL). Upload a copy of the paid fee challan.
  7. Final Submission: Once you click on the final submit button, your application will be submitted successfully. Keep in mind that you will not receive any email or SMS confirmation. The submission confirmation statement on the screen confirms the successful submission of your application.
  8. Online Submission: The application should be submitted through the online portal only. No hard copies are required. Ensure that the mobile number and email provided on the registration form are correct and functional for future communication with the university. Apply online

The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has commenced online registration for the MDCAT test, which is required for admission to MBBS/BDS programs for the 2024-2024 academic year. The deadline for  NUMS MDCAT entry test registration  is  Monday, 24 July 2024 .

NUMS Entry Test 2024 Pattern

The NUMS Entry Test 2024 consists of two parts:

PART A

Part A carries 95% weightage of the NUMS Entry Test 2024. It consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a time limit of 150 minutes. The breakdown of Part A is as follows:

  • Biology: 35%
  • Chemistry: 25%
  • Physics: 25%
  • English: 10%

In addition, there is a Psychological Test comprising 100 MCQs, which must be completed within 30 minutes.

The total duration of the test is 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes), and the total marks allocated are 200.

There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

After completing the 150-minute MDCAT, students are required to take a 30-minute aptitude test. This test is mandatory but does not impact the order of merit.

Important Instructions

  1. All candidates must arrive at their respective test centers at least three hours prior to the start of the test on Sunday, September 3rd, 2024. The centers will be sealed/closed thirty minutes before the test begins.
  2. The MDCAT(NUMS)-2023 will be conducted simultaneously at all local Exam Centers at 10:00 AM PST. International Center candidates will find their test time indicated on the admit card.
  3. Admit cards/roll number slips will be generated for all eligible candidates. Candidates must download them from the NUMS website www.numspak.edu.pk by entering their CNIC, Passport/NICOP, or B Form number.
  4. On the day of the test, candidates must bring the following items with them:
    • Printed admit cards (downloaded from the website)
    • Original “B” Form (with the original Matriculation certificate bearing the candidate’s photograph) or Original CNIC or Original Passport/NICOP. No other forms of identification will be accepted. If the “B” Form or CNIC is lost, please provide the original NADRA Slip as proof of application for a fresh “B” Form or CNIC.
    • A clean clipboard.
    • Two blue/black ballpoint pens (not markers, pencils, gel pens, etc.).
  5. Mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited in the examination hall. Any violation will result in strict disciplinary action, including paper cancellation and debarring the candidate from MDCAT (NUMS).
