CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz announced the Ramzan Relief Package 2024 on February 26, allocating Rs 5 billion for the fiscal year 2023-2024. The relief package, ranging from Rs. 6.5 to Rs. 7 million, will provide essential items, including sugar, flour, cooking oil, ghee, rice, pulses, dates, basin, milk, and drinks, delivered to the doorsteps of registered Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) families during Ramadan, starting from March 11, 2024. Additionally, CM Maryam Nawaz revealed plans to introduce the first air ambulance in Punjab within the next three months to enhance healthcare services in hilly and mountainous regions. Special discounted rates will also be extended to regular customers during the holy month. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will make the final decision on the start of Ramadan 2024 after the moon sighting.
