Quaid-e-Azam University  has announced admission in 2023. The students interested in access can apply for admission and will be admitted based on merit. The old name of Quaid-i-Azam University was Islamabad University. It was established in July 1967 under an Act of the National Assembly and started teaching and research programs for Ph.D. and MPhil degrees and later Masters, Graduate, and now  decided to offer an undergraduate program.

Quaid-e-Azam University Admission has announced for the 2023 session. Quaid-e-Azam University Admission is accepting applications from all qualified applicants for QAU admission 2023. Quaid-e-Azam University Admission to the MPhil/MS Program Spring-2022.Quaid Azam University welcomes applicants from Pakistan and other countries to admit to the MPhil or MS Program at the University across various disciplines on 02 February 2023.

Admission Requirements

  1. The applicants must be able to their credit score.
  2. 1st Division MA/MSc, or in BA/BSc or 60 percent scores in BS (Hons) in addition to the other four years Degrees.
  3. Will not have earned the award of third place in the BA/BSc, MA, and MSc.
  4. If you are seeking a third division of FA/FSc, a candidate should have attained 1st Division in MA/MSc and BA/BSc, or at minimum 60 percent scores in BS (Hons) as well as the other four years of Degrees.
  5. A No Objection Certificate issued by the employer must be attached to the admission data summary sheet and processed through the Proper Channel in case of candidates’ in-service.
  6. These aren’t eligible to be admitted to the MPhil program.
  7. Anyone detained or expelled from any University or College because of misconduct or the recourse to unfair methods during the examinations or other offenses involving moral turpitude.
  8. People who were admitted before the MPhil program but who later declared not to be students at the University.
  9. The candidates must submit an official document indicating the percentage of marks earned in the MSc/BS Hons/4-5 year program.

How to Apply Quaid-e-Azam University Admission?

Candidates can apply via the online Application System from the QAU website. The applicants must print the invoice or challan for processing fees for Habib Bank Ltd. @ Rs.2215/– OR Askari Bank Ltd. Rs.2200/- and deposit at every branch at Habib Bank Ltd. OR Askari Bank Ltd. in favor of the Treasurer Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.

The Bank Challan/Invoice must upload in the Online Application with the other documents that must be scanned to be considered. If not, the application won’t be accepted. The applicants must scan and attach the necessary documents using the online application to verify details and assess merit.

Subject Test/Interview

  • Admission to the MPhil program will be determined by merit-based cumulative based on the previous academic record, university examination, and interview.
  • No separate call letters for tests or interviews will be issued.
  • Only applicants who have passed the test will be invited for an interview following the timetable set by the concerned Department/ Institute/ School/ Centre (DISC).
  • The list of candidates for the exam will post on the boards posted at the pertinent Department/ Institute/ School/ Centre (DISC).

  • Candidates taking an Entry Test must bring an original CNIC proof of identification.
  • If a test day is declared a holiday for any other reason, the test will take place on the next day of work.
  • Candidates who wish to be admitted in the following subjects must be present for the Entry Test on the date and time and at the venue.

General Information

  • A person who has passed the HSSC (Intermediate) Part I of the examination from a Pakistani Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education or equivalent exam from any other recognized Board with at the minimum (50 percent marks or its equivalent grade ) is admissible to provisional admission for the BS (Evening) Programme of study subject to the condition that:
  • Once the student has been selected, they will pay the fees online to the university Account within the specified time or period.
  • After being selected and depositing the online fees or dues into the University Account, The student is required to successfully pass an HSSC Examination (as a whole) with 50 percent marks or an equivalent grade. If the student fails to score more than 50 percent marks on HSSC, the student’s admission is considered unaffected.
  • After selecting and depositing online fees/dues into your University account, in case the student was declared FAILED in the HSSC Exam by the relevant Board, the Fee/Dues paid by the student will not be reimbursed under any circumstance except for refundable securities.
  • After selection and online depositing fee/dues in the University Account, the student must submit their HSSC passed result card within the stipulated period in the concerned Department/ Institute/ School/Centre/Admission Section. If the selected student fails to provide the required document, their admission will cancel.
  • The student awaiting the outcome must be submitted as an undertaking following Sr#8 in the ineligibility regulations.


The following items are not permissible for BS programs of study. The following are not eligible for admission to BS programs of study.

  1. Students who fail to pass the test in the exam under Clause 7.
  2. (a) in the exam rules of this University. (Please look up the Prospectus on the Quaid-e-Azam University Admission web site www.qau.edu.pk). The person who has ceased to be a student at this University as per clause 7(c)
  3. (b) according to the exam rules. (Please look up the Prospectus on the QUA web site www.qau.edu.pk)

People with BS/BALLB/PharmD or an equivalent diploma from this University or another university.

  1. People who this University already employs.
  2. Students who were exiled from the University for discipline reasons.
  3. Students who do not have BS or equivalent degrees will be allowed to enroll in a further or subsequent BS/LLB/PharmD Program (either on a regular or Self-Finance basis) within any of the University Teaching Departments or Centers/ Institutesor schools in any way.
  4. The admission will revoke upon written request from the student concerned following approved rules approved by the Chairman/Director of the relevant department and the Dean of the faculty concerned.
  5. If the information provided is incorrect or misleading or the concealing of facts, If there is a misrepresentation or concealment of information, The University is entitled to deny or cancel the admission of the student and to expel an applicant (student) out of the University at any time.
  6. The Vice-Chancellor can cancel or deny the admission of any pupil at any time without giving the reasons.

Students who were dropped or removed from the roll at QAU and other University Teaching Department/ Center/Institute due to a lack of classes or not paying dues, poor performance, or inability to appear for an examination and other tests. In the semester, I will not be allowed admission. The Syndicate could decide to consider these instances based on the recommendations from the Quaid-e-Azam University Admission Committee.

Students who have been struck off from the roll at the University Teaching Department/ Center/Institute because of poor performance under the semester systems will not be re-admitted at any time within the same discipline.

Anyone who has been expelled, rusticated, or whose Quaid-e-Azam University Admission as well as the University Campus, was banned for any reason during their academic life will not admit to any course without approval from the Syndicate. The Syndicate cannot consider such instances except upon the recommendation of the Admission Committee. Admission Committee.

Equivalence Certificates and Conversion Of Grades Into Marks

Candidates with foreign certificates must submit equivalent certificates and convert the grades into marks from the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) for Intermediate and Matriculation levels.

However, suppose a student is chosen in the merit list and deposits the required fees or dues into their university account. In that case, the choices for different disciplines or subjects will deny, and they will not be considered in any circumstance.

Quaid-e-Azam University Admission on Self-Finance Basis

Admissions on a Self Finance basis shall be only granted by merit. Students of the Undergraduate (Evening) Program will not transfer to the (Morning) Program of the University.

Merit is calculated using the ratio of 30:70, i.e., 30% weightage for the Marks of Matriculation and 70% for marks from the HSSC (Part-I) scores.

  • If the number of applicants for a department/discipline is less than 25, then the department will not be allowed to commence the classes, and the Admission Processing Fee @ Rs.2200/- will be refunded to the applicants admitted thereon accordingly.
