The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched Undergraduate Scholarships for students from Balochistan and former FATA. HEC Medical Seats for Balochistan and FATA 2023 Apply Online is available here. According to sources from the official applicants are sought from students who excel in Balochistan and former FATA who plan to pursue their undergraduate studies at recognized HEC-recognized universities and Degree Awarding Institutions in Pakistan.
They also said that the scholarships are offered in the 2022/23 academic session for every field of studies/discipline as part of the program named “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for the Students of Balochistan & erstwhile FATA (Phase-III)” Batch-I.

Applicants who are currently taking advantage of other scholarships offered by HEC or the Government are not eligible for the scholarship. The applicant must have obtained the academic qualifications required at or before the deadline for the advertisement. Students who are awaiting their results are not eligible for the scholarship. It is important to note that the scholarship will be awarded on a Merit or District Quota basis.
Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: Balochistan or FATA
- Age: Maximum of 22 years as of September 30, 2013.
- Academic Qualification: Intermediate (Pre-medical/Pre-engineering only) minimum 65% marks (Please note that result awaiting candidates are not eligible to apply)
- Required Documents: One photo, CNIC copy/Form B, SSC mark sheet copy, HSSC mark sheet copy the domicile copy, along with Original Bank Deposit Slip.
- As per eligibility criteria, the applicants must have a valid Domicile/Local certificate of Balochistan/erstwhile FATA duly signed by the district administration.
- The age limit for applicants must be at least 22 years old on the deadline for advertisement, and they also added.
- Applicants must have completed 12 years of education with at least 60% marks in FA/F.Sc./I.COM/ICS/DAE or equivalent for the scholarship programme.

- Please make sure to visit http://hec.gov.pk/site/bf3 for further details and IN/OUT category explanation before filling out the application form.
- Applicants must submit their application online through the HEC website http://hec.gov.pk/site/bf3. Hard copies of the application or additional documents do not need to be presented.
- The original payment record/slip from the bank should be uploaded to the online application. it must be secured by the applicant so that they can present it at the time of the test (No person will be allowed to sit for the test without presenting the original deposit slip from the bank).
- The applicant has to submit an online application following filling out an application. Applications that are not completed or saved in any way are not accepted.
- HEC reserve the right to delay or cancel the process of granting scholarships at any point without citing any reason. The deadline for submission of an online application is the 13th of February 2023.
- Candidates are to monitor their email and the HEC website on a regular basis to see any new information and must apply early enough prior to the closing date to receive assistance in the event there is any issue.

HEC Balochistan and FATA Admission
The students who have been selected will receive the opportunity to receive a monthly stipend in order to pay for their expenses during their studies. The Higher Education Commission will support students through scholarships during their studies. They will be provided with books, living expenses, first payments, fees for tuition along with travel reimbursements. Every medical college in Pakistan will grant admission to students from FATA along with Balochistan.
HEC Reserved Seats for Fata and Balochistan
HEC assigned 50:50 % of quotas for FATA in FATA and Balochistan. Students from the former FATA and Balochistan are entitled to gain admission in the higher education options to FATA in addition to Balochistan students. The current government has launched scholarships to study for Balochistan and FAT-domiciled students.
