Hajj 2024 Application Date

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced that the Hajj application process for 2024 will open on November 27th and close on December 12th.

How to Apply for Hajj 2024

There are two ways to apply for Hajj 2024:

Hajj 2024 Basic Facilities

As part of the government Hajj program, pilgrims will receive the following Basic Facilities:

• Hajj training
• Vaccination
• Medical services in Saudi Arabia
• Round-trip flight tickets
• Comprehensive transportation
• 5 liters of Zamzam water

Hajj Package 2024

Long Hajj Package:

Duration: Up to 42 days, including 8 days in Madina
Cost:
Southern regions (Karachi, Quetta, Sukkur): Rs. 1,065,000
Northern regions: Rs. 1,075,000

Sponsorship Scheme:

Eligibility: Overseas Pakistanis
Payment: US dollars
Nomination: Possible to nominate someone else

Southern regions: $3,765

Short Hajj Package:

Duration: Maximum of 25 days
Cost:
Southern region: Rs. 1,140,000
Northern regions: Rs. 1,150,000

Sponsorship Scheme Cost:

Northern region: $4,015

Hajj Applicants Important Guideline

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Hajj application:
1. Hold a CNIC issued by NADRA.
2. Have a passport valid until December 16, 2024.
3. A passport application token will also be accepted.

To apply, visit the Ministry’s website or contact a designated bank. You must deposit the Hajj application and expenses at a designated bank.

Please note the following guidelines:
1. All members of a group must select the same Hajj package.
2. The selected package cannot be changed during the stay in Saudi Arabia.

Exceptions to the eligibility criteria:
1. Men and women who have performed Hajj between 2017 and 2023 are not eligible to apply, except for men accompanying women who haven’t performed Hajj during this period (as per Mehram). The Sponsorship Scheme is exempt from this restriction.
2. Women can perform Hajj without their male guardian if they meet the following conditions:
a. They have permission from their parents/husband.
b. They are part of a women’s group.
c. They are not concerned about potential disturbances or dangers during the Hajj pilgrimage.

Pilgrims over the age of 80 must be accompanied by an attendant.

There are 25,000 seats reserved for the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme on a “first-come, first-served” basis. The remaining seats are reserved for the Regular Hajj Scheme, which will be decided through a draw.

For the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme, you must send the name, ID card, and contact details of the Hajj pilgrim along with the required amount to the Ministry’s dollar account in Pakistani banks from abroad.

Before departure for Hajj, you must provide a fitness certificate. Overseas Pakistanis should submit a medical fitness certificate issued from abroad or submit a simple affidavit stating that they are healthy and will obtain a medical fitness certificate from Pakistan before their Hajj flight.

The religious affairs ministry has declared  the Hajj 2024 application submission deadline is 12th December 2023.

Hajj Policy 2024

Minister Aneeq has also revealed the Hajj Policy 2024, which includes measures for pilgrim comfort such as free essential items and enhanced connectivity with a mobile SIM featuring 7 GB data. The Hajj package includes separate two-bed and three-bedrooms in Makkah, subject to availability, with additional charges for families. Eligibility criteria exclude individuals who performed Hajj from 2017 to 2023, with exceptions for ‘Mahram’ of a woman going on Hajj for the first time and those in the sponsorship scheme. Women can apply for Hajj without a ‘Mahram,’ provided they submit an affidavit stating permission from parents or husbands and assurance of safe travel.
