The federal government of Pakistan has not made any announcements about Eid ul Adha 2024. However, the vacation is likely to take place from June 27th to July first, 2024.

How is Eid ul Adha celebrated in Pakistan?

Pakistanis begin Eid Adha with morning mosque prayers. Muslims wish each other “Eid Mubaarak” and “Eid Saeed” on this special day. Pakistan celebrates Eid Adha by sacrificing a goat, lamb, or ram to symbolise Ibrahim’s obedience. Muslim families share the meat from the sacrificed animal with family, neighbors, friends, and the impoverished so that all Muslims can eat meat on this holy day. Eid Adha also has sheer khurma, a milk-vermicelli-dry fruit dessert. To celebrate, men, women, and children wear new outfits and dress festively. Pakistanis invite friends and relatives to Eid dinners. People visit family and exchange gifts.
